Mailbag: “The mystery of the golden vase…”

In one of the photos with Cameron Carpenter you are holding some kind of golden horn or vase. What is it?

Jonathan,

That is one of the 'horns' mounted on the fronts of several of his speakers. I do not know what sort of actual function they have other than perhaps a megaphone effect.
