Mailbag: “Listen anywhere…”

Dear Michael,

I live in the Los Angeles area. Unfortunately I cannot listen to Pipe Dreams any more on KUSC - I guess more people like opera.. I do enjoy your broadcasts on Christmas Eve, however. Wish I could figure out a way to listen to Pipe Dreams, though.

It has been so many years since PIPEDREAMS was aired on KUSC…have you called and asked them why they do not broadcast it?  I'd be interested in knowing their answer.

You can listen at any time (24/7) online…go to http://www.pipedreams.org.  Each week's new program is listed there, plus the previous week's broadcast.  The 'Programs' archive (click on that word in the upper right margin of the main page) will give you access to hundred of past programs, going back a decade (or more).

Not that these are not podcasts and cannot be downloaded, and the audio player is incompatible with iPhones and iPads.  But android portable devices and any hard-wired internet-connected computer should be able to play the programs.
