Celebrating the pipe organ, the King of Instruments |
October 26, 2010
Dear Michael,
More of a comment…Loved (!!!) the Halloween program. I do a similar sort of program here every year entitled Flights of Fancy and Fantasy with organ, singers and flute. This year, for example, in addition to the T and F in d, and Boellman Suite Gothique, we program the Minuet and Dance of the Blessed Spirits, Marais' Les Folies d'Espagne, a set of variations on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and Corigliano's Voyage. We've even performed Sheep May Safely Graze (the Duke as Pallas Athena or was it the other way around?) and the Beethovan Allegro and Minuet, which was the theme for Mystery TV series in the 70's (did I just date myself?). Anyway, wonderful and keep up the good work!

Kerm,
Thanks for the comment…though, hmmmm…‘blessed spirits’ and ‘sheep safely grazing’ doesn’t sound very haunted and scary to me. :-)
