Mailbag: “Not Finicky about Finlandia”

Dear Michael,

I just listened to Sibelius’ Finlandia featured by James Deitz and Gordon Turk. It is always fascinating to hear different kind of interpretations about Finlandia.
Very special have been a recording of the Hohner Harmonica Orchestra and a Sanfilippo organ’s memory recording performed by some Australian organist, I don't remember his name anymore.
And this... hm... Its arrangement was very different than normally played by an orchestra. I tried to sing that hymn part but it wasn't possible because of that individual arrangement.
Anyway, more this kind of performances!
