Dear Michael,

Can you tell me how I can get a copy of E Power Biggs Der Tag, Der Ist So Freundenreich; or at least what album of his it may have been on?

Sean,

He recorded Orgelbüchlein chorale-preludes only in MONO (to my memory), and not on the Flentrop, but on the little Baroque organ made for him at the Germanic Museum by Aeolian-Skinner. He later re-recorded (also MONO) the entire Orgelbüchlein on the Aeolian-Skinner at Symphony Hall, Boston, issued as a 3-LP set by Columbia Masterworks (KSL-227).

Haydn House offers CD transfers of a lot of Biggs things.

His complete discography is in the Barbara Owen book (worth searching out, though out-of-print).
