Mailbag: “Diane Bish”

Dear Michael,

After hearing Ruffatti’s recording of Diane Bish playing the new organ at the First Prebyterian Church in Naples, Florida, my friend suggested to his pastor that she be considered to play the inagural concert of their newly refurbished organ. The pastor dismissed his suggestion with surprising venom. Has something happened to Diane’s reputation to cause such a reaction? Or is he confusing her with someone else?

People’s attitudes are inexplicable. Consider our world situation (if only sanity prevailed).
Diane performed in concert here in Minnesota a year ago…and provided us with a wonderfully entertaining and enjoyable musical evening.
Venom is not becoming of any pastor! He should go back to his study and read the Good Book…
