Mailbag: “Ads on the website ?”

Dear Michael,
What is going on with the web site. We get ads for Pretty Good Gifts, and stuff about Prairie Home Companion. It makes the site hard to navigate for those of us that are visually impaired.

Dear David,
Sorry that you find the promotional stip along the far right border/web page margin problematical. It’s only on the front page, right? It’s the ‘cost’ of providing a free service. All of those hours of archived audio do not exist without expense. Rather than make the Pipedreams website a matter of restricted ‘subscription/membership’ access, we prefer to offer it free…but the result is that we use part of the page to promote other MPR/APM projects.
