This program, a presentation of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Dallas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists on November 17, 2019, celebrated the musical tradition of France's world famous church while lamenting the devastating fire of April 15, 2019. Though that has interrupted the Cathedral's grand musical tradition, we remain with ardent hopes for its continuation before too many years have passed. Click here should you wish and be able to contribute to the building's restoration.
For relevant comments from another of the Cathedral's principal organists, Olivier Latry, as well as sounds of the actual Notre Dame organ, some examples recorded just a few months before the April 15, 2019 fire, check out this archive program, "Organ History at Notre Dame" (#1942).
