April 21 (Saturday, 3 P.M.):
Michael Barone returns to Philadelphia’s Verizon Hall to host an American Guild of Organists tribute to organist and teacher John Weaver, former head of the organ departments of both the local Curtis Institute and New York City’s Juilliard School.  In addition to performances with his wife, flutist Marianne Weaver, the program features several of Weaver’s outstanding former students, Alan Morrison, Ken Cowan, Diane Meredith Belcher and Chelsea Chen.  It should be a rousing good time!  Admission charged.

April 29 (Sunday, 2 p.m.):
Michael Barone moderates a conversation with American composer Gerald Near following the premiere performance of his newly commissioned choral work as part of the Sunday Series at House of Hope Presbyterian Church (797 Summit Avenue) in Saint Paul, MN. Free.

June 10 (Saturday, noon to 7 p.m.):
Once more into the breach...Michael Barone invites you to spend an entire afternoon with him and the 124-rank Dobson-built King of Instruments at Philadelphia’s Verizon Hall during the second annual family-friendly Fred J. Cooper Memorial Organ Day, featuring multiple performances of a broad range of repertoire, a “de-mystification demonstration”, silent-film accompaniment, virtuoso showpieces and improvisations, and much more.  And it’s free!
